over the air receiver
This plugs into your DVR via a usb cable. Your AC cord is plugged into the new box and then the new box is plugged into AC. The DVR recognizes the unit and will scan for over the air channels when you do a very simple setup. Signal strength is available as well as downloading channels via your zip code. You can delete unwanted channels. It will record them too. If a storm blocks your satellite signal you still have the over the air signals.
