I told you to push FAN and MODE at the same time to switch zones. NOT Mode and Temp. The reason the rear does NOT respond is because Zone 2 is set for that AC and until you access the Zone 2 it will not stop or change its preset. You CAN push the Black ON/OFF button on the BOTTOM frame of the tstat to completely turn the tstat OFF. When you do that BOTH Zones and AC units will turn OFF. One of the problems with the original 4 button was the buttons wore out and it was almost impossible to get the Zones to switch. Even by pushing the correct 2 buttons. Doug
