Dometic Comfort Control 2 Thermostat issue

Dometic Comfort Control 2 model#3314080.xxx(without dehumidify)
My zone 1(front AC/HP) HP mode seems to be stuck on HP/FURN it trys to start then it flashes HP then to FURN and will not run the heat pump on the roof(it has never done this in the past) It started when it went into the defrost mode and when it tryed to start the heat pump it is now showing the HP/Furn flash back and forth.
It is not connected to a Furnace....somehow it thinks it wants to switch to a furnace that it is looking for but cant fine because it is not hooked up to one.....I'm hoping for a reset button on the roof unit...I looked for one under the shroud and in the compartment where the mother board is.and couldn't find a obvious reset...
I have it for 4 years and never had a problem.....
The AC(Cool mode) works fine....The Auto mode works fine...
Zone 2 the (back AC/HP) works fine in all modes....
Any thoughts will be appreciated...Thanks in Advance,Tom

    I am so glad that when I installed a new Dometic AC(zone 1) this week and hooked it up with the old Dometic HP/AC in the front(zone 2), I did not have to also install the Comfort Control 2 thermostat. We have had to many friends with the newer CC 2 have problems. Our old CC has worked flawlessly for 12 years now. Good luck on finding your problem.

    Turn off any fluorescent lights and reset the thermostat by removing the fuse. Let the thermostat re-boot and see if it works.
    Flourescent lights when the ballast is failing puts out a signal that disturbs the thermostat signal.

    I would first try a reset-
    The system initialization shall be initiated with the thermostat turned “OFF” (Either a blank display or clock only
    showing). Simultaneously press and hold the MODE and ZONE buttons. The LCD will display “IniT” and all available
    zones. Release the MODE and ZONE buttons. Press the ON/OFF button to exit.

    1. It is connected to a furnace. You may have a Aqua hot but that is a furnace for the system. Your profile shows a 2001 Windsor. That means you have had to have removed the original CCC control and went to the CCC 2 system. Once you do the reset Chris listed post if that fixed it. What is the outside temp you are in? Doug
    If the reset does not work I would suspect the ambient temp sensor

    OK...Thanks for the rest instructions.....Did both,the basic and the turn 12v and 120 line off and still getting in the HP mode and now in the auto mode the back and forth flashing furn to HP and in Auto,auto flashing back and forth from auto to furn when the heat is trying to kick on.....in auto and in cool modes in zone 1 every thing works fine????
    Any more thoughts on what is going on with the CC2 thermostat....
    Zone 2 is working fine in HP,Auto and cool modes......

    Take the ambient sensor off the rear working unit Circuit board and just plug it into the front AC unit circuit board. That will tell you if it is the ambient sensor. Other than that, I would suspect the front AC circuit board. But, you problem is something I have never heard of. Could you tell us more? Year/Brand/Model of unit. How old are the AC units and were they originally on the CCC2 system or the 5 button system? Doug

    Not sure what the ambient temp sensor looks like??I will look for it on line.
    The CC2 and the 2 AC/HP units were installed together(5/16/13).Never had a problem before now.. The units are:2 Dometic 15000 btu Model # 561816CXX1C0.
    I will try to switch out the sensors tomorrow....

    Doug, I can not find a diagram for my units on line to see what the sensor looks like...Not sure if you have a diagram or a photo of what the sensor looks like?

    On the 5 button CCC board it was the 2 wire RED plastic connector. On the CCC2 board it is the 2 wire RED wire(white connector) that connects to the P3 connection on the end of the board. Doug
