Dynamax

We are in the process of making a decision about a Dynamax XL 360. I would love to get any comments about Dynamax in general-overall quality-dealing with the factory etc.-regardless of model.

Thanks

  • I taught my wife to drive the Dynamax in SD ,flat as P on a plate. The only problem was she has a heavy foot and was tail gating . I wouldn't let her back it up she wasn't ready for that ! She drove it about 700 miles and had a great time.
  • Thanks for your response-I really like the way it drove on the test drive-my wife is nervous but anxious to drive it We live up in Mass so maybe we will cross paths on the road. I'll send you my email privately if I can figure how to do it.
  • We have a 2007 Dynamax 350 Grans Sport with Cat 350hp C-7 motor . The Dynamax runs great gets about 10 to 12 mpg depending where your driving. We tow a 2011 Honda Element and you don't even know it's behind you. I don't know about Forest River but I can tell you the Dynamax is a great coach and the fit and finish is great. When I call and talk to Forest River they are always helpful. I don't care what you buy you will always have some issues here and there.
Drive the Dynamax and make sure your wife drives it too I think you will like it.
  • My wife and I are looking at a Dynamax DX3 TRS. One of our concerns is that it will not be fit and finished as nicely as our 06 Allegro Bus. Also is switching from a box front to a cab difficult?
  • I have owned a lot of Forest River products and I can assure you they were NOT upscale. Don't assume the same quality as before they were bought out, Check carefully and good luck
  • Am I thinking of the wrong company, but there is a Dynamax (www.dynamaxcorp.com) that apparently has some upscale "C"s.

Oddly enough, they have a "C" on the F-series chassis. This means the hood sticks out several feet more, but there is no doghouse in the way. Plus, it comes with 4WD as an option. The price is 2-4 times what a normal "C" will cost (a few models I saw were priced at $250,000+, but from what I read, you do get what you pay for.

Dynamax Did Not go out of business... They were purchased by Forest River and continue to produce premium RV's as well as provide warranty service/technical info.

We own a DQ 360 XL and it is a very well made unit and is much more comfortable and better handling than any of the previous RV's we've owned or used.
