E bay or Amazon?

I have to buy some parts and other things for my Class C motor home. I found what I need on both Amazon and EBay.

Which website is the best source for what I need? Recommendations would be appreciated since I have never purchased from either before.

  • Prefer Amazon. Returns are painless. Prime also includes video.
  • Amazon, hands down. Much better if there are any problems. You can return things to Amazon even if it was your mistake as long as the item is not damaged.

Have had only 1 bad experience on Ebay out of probably hundreds of orders, but Amazon's return policy is much better.
  • I have used both, no problems with either one, but I would recommend Amazon.ca (for Canadians). Anything that I have ordered is generally delivered (Canada Post) within 24-48hrs. NO surprises. no extras for shipping, brokerage fees, customs etc.

With EBay, it depends on where it is coming from, and how it is being shipped (USPS postal, UPS, FedEx etc) I have had to pay extra fees, brokerage, customs and taxes, before getting the package, This is after I paid the seller for shipping.
And time, 2 days to 4 weeks from overseas. In these cases the prices were worth the wait over buying local.

  • Depends on price. I like eBay better for many things because it ends up cheaper since there's no tax. Either one is just as safe.
Ebay is just as easy to return things with and Paypal ensures vendors performance.
  • I'll buy from either if I need something.

But, I prefer Amazon. It's always my first choice.
  • Amazon. Hands down, if you can get the same product from either one.
