Sorry but that is not even close to being true. Would you care to share a source that documents the E-450 being 6" wider than the E-350? Two (identical - same year chassis), Class C's, one an E-350 and the other an E-450 will have the same overall /interior width every time. Also both will also have the same towing capacity of 5,000#. The E-450 will have the greater payload but will be heavier negating some, if not most of the difference.

Oldme is correct, at least for most years. For a long time, the E450 had a 4.5" wider rear track. In 2008, the E350 rear track was increased, so its closer but the E450 is still a little wider. Axle widths:
2008 E350 DRW = 75.4”
2008 E450 DRW = 77.7"
2007 E350 DRW = 73.2"
2007 E450 DRW = 77.7"
Also, the E450 towing capacity is substantially higher. Max GCWR of the E350 is 18,5000 pounds vs 22,000 for the E450. 5,000# is a motorhome-specific rating, usually due to the receiver installed. Many newer motorhomes have a 7500 or 8,000# receiver now, and many older rigs can easily be upgraded.
FWIW - heres the max payloads for the 176" wheelbase V10 bare cutaway chassis (2015):
E350 - 7,255#
E450 - 9,033#
