Weather is a real issue. It's not that it can't be done. However the conditions maybe far from ideal. I live in the area and camp as much as possible but I won't start until March 1st to avoid the worst weather.
If you can avoid February do so. If your schedule is set and is not flexible give cross your fingers and give it a shot. However you may need to be flexible and be prepared for potential winter weather.
