The park I will be staying at said the elect charge is 12/kwh So that's just under 90 bucks a month. The monthly rate in the summer is $350 plus elect.starting May 1.

Crasster, my solar guy said that the upper tier will be .29/kwh. My home has always gone into tier three, even in the winter when I'm not using much of anything.

If the rate is .16KWH most likely will be way upwards of $100 dollars a month. Depends on many factors, such as which way your windshield faces, parked in full shade or full sun and if it is only down to 90 degrees can you be comfortable sleeping with the AC off??? If in full sun I would expect 150 plus. I know in those conditions my air would most likely run 20 hours a day.

Dennis,is that just for CA or is that for all states? I stay in a park in AZ for a while and they charge all users .18/KWH yet the state rate for AZ is 11.29/KWH. Been doing this to over 500 users in the park for years. Must not apply to AZ.

You have to remember that the OP will be paying commercial rates, which can be much higher than residential rates.

I didn't know as Dennis mentioned above that the RV park cannont charge more, it's seems I've heard of people really complaining about RV parks gouging.

Indio in the summer is extremely hot. It could be up to 120 during the day and 90's at night. It's gets a little cooler in August but that's when the humidity comes making it feel worse.

Couldn't you go to a cooler place? :) You don't have a signature line telling us what size RV you have but if it's a big one, two air conditioners would help. Also, get insulation foil to cover your windows especially ones that will not be in the shade. Good luck!

Whatever the rate the cost will be high as the Indio summer is warm to hot 24/7. Call the CG for their rate.

What's your monthly kWh usage? Maybe use $0.15/kWh for starters.
