Electrical Problem

I have a 2003 Travel Supreme DS02 RV. The a/c outlets on the Driver's side of the RV are dead. This includes the Bath Room, Living Room, and in the Power cable area. I've checked the breakers and fuses but all are in order. Replaced the GFI in the bathroom but still no current. Couldn't find any other GFI's on that side of the RV. Not sure what to do next. Does anyone know of a good RV Electrician in the Albuquerque area?

  • Was the GFCI receptacle tripped? Did it have 120 volts coming into it? If not it must be a breaker or fuse or a break in the cable. It is uncommon to have any type of plug/socket in power cables, but not totally unheard of in slide outs.
  • Don't know how mechanically minded you are ... sounds like you have some savy .... Buy a tester from Lowes or Home Depot and trace some of the current in's and out's from some of the plugs. Usually, except at the end of a run ..... a plug has a hot coming in and out to feed the next plug. Need to find that one thatls cold at the beginning of a run. Also sometimes there are GFI's in the basements.
  • Check to see if a breaker on the inverter itself has tripped. Also you may have a GFI in the basement.
