Electrical short

I have a 1988 Winnebago Super Chief. It has Jetco air ride on the back axel. I recently replaced the air bags and compressor on it. I am having problems of having electrical shorts on the home. Can the Jetco air ride be wired seperately instead of being hooked up to some fuse?
  • a 'short' will blow the fuse instantly

if your having problem with 'it runs then blows the fuse'
    that is an overload
the fuse and maybe the wire , is too small, the new compressor is a 'larger load' using more power

do NOT use with out a fuse, you might burn some wire and start your coach on fire
  • I suggest you have a qualified electrical person look at it.
Need to determine if a real short or an overload due to the new pump..

Like Brett said, do Not wire it without a fuse and proper size wire.
  • Can it be run on a separate fuse that only supplies that system? YES.

Can you wire it without a fuse? NO if you want to protect your coach.
