We moved from a TT to a class C but only did it last September so I can't comment on long term. We are also empty nesters but have 3 grandkids close by and like to have them enjoy the RV as well as us. Our reason for the change was dictated by some major health issues I have and I couldn't manage the maintenance, setup and teardown of the TT any longer. It took us 2 years of looking but we finally found the perfect class C for us at 27'. The smaller size of our class C is much easier to keep up and setup is a breeze. We have no regrets so far.
