May I comment here?
As for a WDH, you don't "need" one but I will tell you from extensive experience it will make for a safer and more comfortable ride...
I have towed a 24' enclosed aluminum trailer with a v-nose and now I have a 28' featherlite with a v-nose.
My current rig is a 39' Itasca horizon DP. It is rated to tow 10K lbs. The hitch that came on the RV was only rated for 500lb tongue weight, and I was at least double that. The RV did fine, but the hitch bent down a bit and was not safe. I had a local welding shop that does lots of RV work build a custom hitch that is rated for 17K lbs and it's a LOT sturdier.
So with my current trailer - it is about 10K lbs loaded with my 66 GTO and the golf cart. I not only use the WDH, but also an Air Safe hitch that is an airbag shock between the coach and trailer. Everyone is happier with it, as it's a lot smoother ride and easier on the equipment.
The WDH makes a significant difference in the safety and handling and I won't tow without it.
Many people rely on the air bags, which I did for years, but the WDH helps connect the trailer and RV so they operate in unison better.

Good luck and enjoy!
