On our 06 Winnebago C class, from the factory the engine/chassis battery is only charged by the engine alternator. When driving, the engine alternator charges both the house and chassis batteries. The shore power to the house, only charges the house batteries unless changes were made after it left the factory. We added a trik-l-start type battery maintainer charger to charge the chassis battery when plugged into shore power. We had the same problem with the chassis battery going dead after a few weeks.
The radio power selector switch only controls power to the radio, so you can use it when camping without further drain on the chassis battery. I has nothing to do with the charging circuits.
On our Winnie, this switch controls both the 12v power to operate the radio, as well as a second circuit to switch the 12v memory circuit to the house batteries as well, (eliminates that parasitic draw on chassis battery). It has a capacitor??/mini battery in the harness so that the memory/clock power is not interrupted when switching sources.
On some of the newer Winnebago's they are adding in a charge line from the shore power circuits to the chassis battery
