I like the idea, assuming there is power available, of using a Battery Minder, or other battery charge maintainer, one for each battery bank. This will not just keep both sets topped off worry-free, but also help with desulfating. They are not cheap, especially the more beefy eight amp model (~$150)... but they have kept batteries in tip-top shape for years in my experience, and eight amps is more than enough to handle most parasitic loads while maintaining near 100% SoC.
