I do not remember seeing what chassis the rig is on. This makes a difference as to what battery. As for make of battery it doesn't really matter.
Get a battery with about a 60 month warranty and expect to get 48 months out of it.
I find it interesting that the starting batteries only last 2-3 years in our cars but the starting battery in my MH along with the 2 6v GC batteries are going on 8 years old. The difference is I charge the starting battery in the MH when I charge the house batteries maintenance makes a big difference. The Walmart Max batteries have a 5 year warranty and there are Walmart's where ever you travel. My Walmart battery failed within the warranty period and they gave me a new one for free.
There's a tremendous amount of heat surrounding the chassis battery in a car and especially here in the tropics. All my batteries are under the steps in the coach and even if the chassis bat was under the hood, it would be out front of the radiator and be getting plenty of air for staying cool.
Having said that, I would think New England for being a little kinder to batteries and can remember batteries lasting a very long time when living up north and especially in years gone by. Then again, many cars and trucks almost had room for another engine under the hood, back then.
