OK...making progress....possibly the reason your PULLEY is hot is because the alt is locked when enerzized by shorted batteries or internally in the alt. CAUSING THE BELT TO SPIN AROUND THE PULLY.....
you also need a new belt and replace the alt and battery with good used or new to get you home. I have had POOR luck with belts from auto zone.
