Next possibility is bad plug wire(s), cap and rotor
. We must think alike I removed the IAC and it was clean of carbon build up on the pintle. I cleaned it several years ago. I turned key on and pintle came out so I assume it is good. I just went to o'reillys for a cap, rotor and plugs and am installing them now.
