Entry Door Opening Window

My rig has an unusual entry door window. It opens by sliding up like an old counter weight window. The line that provided the lift for the window snapped and the window no longer holds itself in place when raised. I'm trying to figure if I can fix it.

Take a look at these photos. The red arrow in the whole-door photo shows where the line/string was attached to sliding window. You would just unlock the bottom window and slide it straight up.

In the other photo the blue arrow shows the rollers that line passed over and the red arrow where I think it terminated, probably onto some kind of spring or roller device.

Anyone have any experience disassembling one of these? Thanks.

  • If this is on your Foretravel coach

Yea, I was down at the factory a few weeks ago but I forgot to talk with someone about this annoyance. Thanks.

  • If this is on your Foretravel coach I'll bet that a call to the factory would help. This may be something that is unique to their units.
