Depends on how much "First step" I need.
Due to some other issues I carry a bunch of lumber 2"x12"x3' Sometimes I'll use one or two of them
I have a Green Garden thing Folded up it makes a good first step
Like this one from Lowes Though I don't know where I got mine (likely Big Lots).
it has other uses too
And I just picked up a metal 350 pound capacity step (Taller) from Horrible Freight. IT's very nice.
