I think you'll most likely find the carb's on Onan generators have a screw inside that can only be installed at the factory. If you move it, you're done. Don't understand it 100%, but there is something there. When we purchased our first RV (used), the dealer had just installed a new carb. I forgot to exercise it (beginner stupidity on my part) and wound up replacing the carb again out of my pocket; about $250 as I recall. My mechanic buddy says the ethanol in the gas today gums things up when it sets. If you don't believe it, just look at a gas can you've had around the garage for a bit. See all that white stuff?
