Another old wivwes tale is that you need to run it for 20-30 minutes before you pull out of your campsite. Start it up, let it run enuff to air up the suspension and then shut it off. It'll finish warming up as you leave the campground and drive to the highway.
I drove school bus for a number of years and the guys from Thomas told us that was all we needed and any more was a waste of fuel and helped with global warming.
