Exhaust brake 12 volt power source
I am trying to find out where the 12 volt power for the exhaust brake air valve solenoid comes from. Where would a fuse be located?

Reasonably complex, since the signal comes from the exhaust brake switch AND the throttle AND then through the transmission ECM through at least one and generally two relays.
With a 1996, you may still be on a Freightliner chassis. If so, they can provide you with a wiring diagram.
