I dont think any heat transfer from the manifolds, which are the hottest item on the eng, back to the heads is a good idea......I'am trying to get rid of heat.......,new perfect machined parts can go without gaskets but once used and disassembled I've found gaskets are mandantory. If the manifolds are warped ,like mine ,two choices....remachine them or new. A dual exhaust system will up power and get rid of a lot of manifold heat.
The whole idea of the no gasket design is to allow an adequate heat exchange from the manifolds back to the head where the cooling system can dissipate it. Consider how little cooling those manifolds are going to get from your duct work after a hot run followed by stop sign, traffic light, or other slow down. That said, the ducted ventilation is not a bad idea as a supplement to the designed in heat transfer, but not as a replacement for it.
