Boy your right about heat in the heads, I want to get rid of as much of that 1700 exhaust heat as possible and I sure dont want my cooling system trying to absorb it either....when running down the road Iam sure the manifolds are in the 1000 degree range..Banks hedders reduced the temp by 200 degrees....
My new system is all 2/12 with big walker mufflers. New dorman manifolds. I expect about 45 HP gain and a cooler motor. It is a true DUAL system not both running into stock type muffs and such.
Once warmed and retorqued I doubt if they will ever be a problem again.

I wish you luck but it has been proven for years that the 460 in a motorhome responds much better with a good free flowing large single exhaust system than with duals. You need the scavaging effect of the single system fed by long tube headers to get the tourque you need. Horsepower means nothing, you need the torque at the rpm and speeds you are running in a motorhome. You will have warped and cracked manifolds again. The only permanet solution is headers.
