Exhaust "plumbing"?

I was working on rerouting the generator exhaust on my Landau today, to move it away from the Protect-A-Tow toad road crud shield. I had to laugh when I pulled off an extension and saw what the factory had used as a coupling. :R

    I had to listen to my Dad say that every time someone brought in something for him to redoe what some hack welder had screwed up! Only he didn't call it poop!
