What makes them "certified for potable water"? I grew up drinking out of the end of a garden hose...is there some special coating or what? I've always seen (and used) the white hose, but never understood really why...
Potable water hoses are manufactured with non-carcinogenic materials, and are labeled as Certified for Potable water. I have no idea who certifies. The web site for this hose used to have a disclaimer in the FAQ's saying NOT to use it for potable water.
