Since this is a rental RV I assume you are not taking a toad. It would be just fine to leave the generator running with the AC while you are sightseeing. We have done it for our cats in the past It is also nice to come home to a comfortable MH yourself. Figure 1/2 gal. gas per hr of generator use.
