You know..a 2008 with ony 30,000k's is almost a hanger queen. So..depending on the cost and duration of the plan, it is not a bad thing to consider. I bought one my last and never used it but I did kinda like the peace of mind it offered me for the year of the plan.
Should you do decide to get one, if you were to look at reviews, the..THE most common reason for plan admins to reject a claim is oil changes, or apparent lack there-of. Get one as required by your documents..and have it done at a shop..even a quickie lube place...then you have documentation. You may want to do it yourself..and if you are insisting on that? then spend the 50 or 60..have it done somewhere then run home and re-do it. But get that written bill for proof of having had an oil change as specified.
