Bought our 2006 RV in 2015, it had 18,000 miles on it, and we are the third owners. We purchased the extended warranty for $1900.00 It is good up to April of 2019 or 56,106 miles whichever comes first, and then we can purchase another plan from the same company. This plan covers a lot of the chassis, and coach pieces. The coach is going into the shop in a few days to have the A/C looked at. ( it is a carrier unit and is original to the coach) they no longer make parts for the unit and the unit is no longer made. If it is deemed that it is not fixable, i will need a brand new A/C unit WITH a conversion kit that allows the stock carrier remote control to still be used. So with labor at 120.00 per hour, and a new 15,000 BTU unit ( most likely a Coleman unit) it has to be around 800 - 900.00 dollars. BUT with my warranty i pay $50.00 deductible and all is good. So in 1 instance, the warranty could save me about half of what i paid for it. So is it worth it???
YES! Oh heck yes it is! And if i need more than one repair, and they are all covered under warranty and done at the same time in the same visit, it only costs me the $50.00 ded. Not 50 for each covered item or fix. Your RV can cost anywhere from 30 to 100 grand, you gonna cheap out over 1900.00?
Hopefully it does work out for you. Report back if you ever actually use it. This is when they try to play games and blame parts that aren't covered as the cause of failure... or my favorite, "lack of user maintenance", be sure you keep all your service receipts that pertain to your RV...
I have binders full of records and recpts of every single thing I have bought for the RV, and every thing that I have had done.
