Nice to see one report of a good warranty.
We bought a 2004 former rental MH in 2008 from an RV dealership with a good reputation. Had a fine gentleman salesman and very helpful people in the yard and shop. At signing time, we met the accountant who was a different sort - she pushed a warranty at us. I said no thanks. When we came back to take possession, the accountant said there had been a mistake and we could have the warranty for half the price. I almost said yes. Later, at the shop I found that a former student of mine was doing the tune up. He tipped me off that the warranty was worthless after one mile on an unpaved road. Interestingly, that warranty was the only thing wrong about that RV place and our used MH. In 9 years it has been in a garage only twice - for new tires and new brake pads.
Any teachers reading? If so, as you deal with students keep in mind they will grow up and become your mechanics, nurses, insurance agents, etc! Be nice!
I should add that I have found new vehicle extended warranties from the manufacturer very legitimate and likely to be worthwhile.
