Well, i took my RV into the service place wed for them to check on the roof AC making noise, and the entry door latch being worn out (loose handle). They checked my warranty and said that both items should be covered under the warranty i purchased at the time i bought the RV. I went back there yesterday to just check on the RV, and saw that they had already replaced the entry door latch, but the old AC was still on the roof. ( it had only been 2 days so i didnt think it would be done that quick) The service guy confirmed that he had spoken to the warranty co. And that both the entry door latch and the rooftop AC AND the conversion kit (from Carrier to Coleman in order to use the original Carrier handheld remote control) would be COVERED. My total out of pocket expense is ........ $50.00. The warranty just paid for itself.
So.... New AC unit plus the conversion kit, plus the entry door latch, plus labor (@ 120.00 per hour).. Again, heck YES! Extended warranties are worth it.
