In 2015 at ~60K miles going down the driveway at the beginning of a long RV trip our RV's E450 Ford TorqShift transmission blew.
After a 3-day delay and a $5600 transmission replacement bill, we were on our way again. I wish I had bought a warranty when we bought our RV new in 2006 - but would the warranty have paid for the transmission replacement 9 years after we had bought the RV with a warrantly?
(The good news is that the replacement transmission is way smoother and well-behaved than the original one that came in the chassis.)
