Extended Warranty and Maintenance Records
I purchased a 2008 Vista Mini Cruiser (2007 Mercedes engine) with 40K miles. We also bought an extended warranty. Unfortunately, we received no maintenance records and didn't really think about the significance of that at the time. I'm now trying to make contact through the dealer with the prior owner to see if I can get records, but odds of that are not good. We've used the MH for six months, taken some good trips over mountains and on winding roads, etc., and had very good luck with it, so no obvious issues. Question... How should I set a baseline for the maintenance records to make sure I can show that the required maintenance has been done so the extended warranty won't deny coverage if ever required? Should I just ask the Mercedes dealer to look it over and tell me what they feel has been done and recommend the necessary services to have it current? My concern would be if a 40K service had been completed, I'd hate to do it again at 43K.
