Exterior Kitchen

I have been looking at some new coaches trying to decide if I want to suffer through massive depreciation:D. In any event on my present coach, a 2010 Discovery, I have the exterior kitchen factory option, which we have come to love. It has an exterior refer/freezer, sink, built in grill, storage cabinet, and stainless cooktop. The sink is plumbed with hot/cold running water, and the drain is plumbed into the gray tank. We use it almost every night that we camp. I love to tailgate as well. I haven't seen anything that comes close in higher end coaches that we have been looking at. Is anyone familiar with an aftermarket supplier than can retrofit a decent exterior kitchen? I am not looking for a Prevost setup, but something that could be done for under $5K. The option was $2K when I ordered the Disco, so I am not looking to go too crazy. The convenience of having everything all connected so that all I have to do is open the door and extend a tray with all the conveniences of a kitchen is too cool and easy that I want it again.
  • Bumpyroad,

Don't misunderstand me. I don't have that particular motorhome. I don't have that grill either. I have a Weber that fits on a wheeled foldup cart. All I'm saying is that ours fits easily in our basement compartment (cart and grill). It takes all of 2 minutes to take grill off cart, fold cart and place both in basement compartment. We use it a lot as we prefer to do our own cooking. I personally don't want an outdoor kitchen but others apparently do. To each his own.

is yours identical to the one pictured? if so , it must take you an hour to disassemble and reassemble it at each stop.

  • Looks to me like it's just behind the daulies from the picture. Then the floor plan shows a little arrow pointing to the external kitchen.

So it's kind of remote from the patio awning.

I give up, where is the kitchen located in that floor plan?
I see you can either get the kitchen or a massive storage area.

  • I wonder if something could be be built that slides out of a basement compartment. Sort of an all in one Kitchen unit.
I don't think it would be too difficult to do it yourself!
