Have you tired putting a splitter at the location where your rooftop dish coax is? in other words, combine the two coax cables with a splitter so that instead of JUST the rooftop Satellite antenna feeding the two boxes, both the rooftop and/or the remote satellite antenna are feeding both satellite boxes. This should be able to be done in the overhead compartment.
