DickA and I both solved your problem cheaply. just find a youngster to climb up and put the plastic on.

I might spend 10 bucks on an infred heat lamp pointed at the back of the dish .. Or the front of the dish.. Either side should work.

go buy a super soaker.. water gun... fill it with Warm water...if real cold add a little table salt..

I do this at home..(for years) and I have to shoot UP 20 feet, dish is mounted on top of roof.. second floor.

I live near N.E. Ohio and in the Snow Belt.. sometimes I have to do this 3 to 6 times a winter.

$22 bucks for the 3 ft one and it has a built in thermostat.

Wax it or I know some who have put Never Wet coating avail at Home Depot on it.

I always used Windshield de-icer but your dish is kinda high for that.

we have a 10' aluminum dish on a 3500' mountain ABOVE Salt Lake City. When it ices up the local chief points a infrared flood from Home Depot at the back of the antenna and leaves it on till spring. It takes very little heat to keep it clear.

I forgot to say the dish overlooks the roof, making it that much harder to brush it off,.....even w/ a 12 ft pole.
The aim is not off. Pic came back on 5 hrs later @ 52% signal. Now its @ 87%, and there may still be some frozen snow on it,....I can't see it.

Being as I'm looking at the backside of the dish I still like my spot beam light idea,.....can't see why that wouldn't work.
