EZ Pass on Class C

Does anyone have an EZ Pass on their Class C? Does it work? Where is it mounted? We live in RI and have it on both of our cars...saves a ton of money on the Newport Bridge alone, and saved time and hassle on many trips before the motorhome. Just want to make sure it'll work on the Class C before I get another one.

  • I have the Texas version of EZPass.

The sticker lives at the FAR forward edge of the dash and up against the bottom of the windshield. It IS in the line-of-sight view of the antenna.

  • We have EZ-Pass. It shouldn't matter whether class a or class c though. We just leave it stuck on the windshield, with velcro. Second transponder in towed car is kept in silver, anti-static bag that it came in to prevent double charges. This has worked for us for 5 years now and still happy doing 55 through toll boths...extra wide lanes only; we crawl through locations that use regular lanes as EZ-Pass ( Fastlane).
  • mine came with a "magic" plastic sleeve so it wouldn't be picked up by toll booth if desired.

but I would think that some LEO would have a problem with that mount covering up the front license plate.
If class C has a front window, just use the extra velcro they supply and move it there.

  • Could you just hold it up to the side window as you go thru the zone?
  • The EZ pass I have is used on 3 different vehicles which are registered on my Illinois EZ pass account.
  • Our CA FasTrak can even be in the glove compartment. Since they have become a target theft item (isn't that wonderful? :() we normally leave it in the glove compartment but will remove it for tolls.

Besides they count axles, take pics and will bill the account no matter what. And if you don't have an account they will bill the license number even if out of state.
  • If you think you have too much overhang for the windshield mounting spot to work, there are EZ Pass exterior mounts that will go on your front license plate surround (or anywhere else convenient)
