EZ Pass while towing - oops
Put the pass in a drawer in MH while towing car - did not work as on two occasions it read even though I paid cash. Lesson learned - they said to wrap it up in aluminum foil

We use a separate NY State issued E-ZPass transponder for our motorhome because the NY Thruway has a special plan where we only get charged passenger car per axle rates instead of the higher large truck or bus rates. We also have a separate transponder for when we're towing with the motorhome, so we get the lower rate either way. Putting the toad's transponder in an RF blocking bag is a minor inconvenience compared to the savings.
