Get an iPass from Illinois. Works with any vehicle you enter into the database. Works anywhere EZ Pass is taken also.
X2 - You are finding out now why so many folks recommended the I-Pass when responding to your first post.
2chiefsRus...Looking for help here not I told you so's.
I did fairly extensive research after the post from Sooboy. I looked into the Illinois one. We are not really able to get an iPass from Illinois as it can take 2 weeks to get it in the mail.
We are full timers and on the move every 3 or 4 days. We are also not planning on being in Illinois anytime before needing an ezPass to be able to buy it directly.
Please remember we are from the northwest part of the country where we don't have toll roads. Having never used them before they can be a little frustrating reading all of the different state sites about them. That's why I turned to the great folks here for advise.
not trying to say we told you so - just sympathizing. It would have been nice if the person who set you up with the EZ-Pass in Gettsyburg PA would have known or told you about the weight limit issue for non-commercial PA EZ-Pass accounts. Then you could have dealt with it then in person.
Thanks...sorry it just caught me a little off - not enough coffee yet this morning when I replied.
We actually purchased it at a Wal-Mart so, of course, you can't expect them to know anything.
The person we talked to in the Maryland (just at the Bay Bridge) office seemed that we just really disturbed her rather quiet day by asking all of our inane questions. She even rolled her eyes at us a couple of times.
As it seems like every answer I get to a question brings on 2 more questions!
Just wondering now if we need to go purchase another transponder.
Will break down and call the help desk this afternoon when we get done visiting the battlefield here. Still have 4 more days before we have to hit our first toll road.
We want to do everything right if we can.
