I got Ipass, same thing for all cooperating states except so far Florida, I had to get their sunpass. I got it all set up online to pay. First year in Florida they sent a bill nearly a year later. The point of passes is so they dont have to pay for the labor of all those toll people. Looks like a really lousy job especially handling all that dirty, germ ridden money. OTOH, yet more jobs "outsourced" in this case to technology.
People east had to pay out of pocket for their interstates and collect tolls now for repair. Wisconsin has no toll roads since the federal government paid for them right after WW2. I am not sure how I feel about tolls, on the one hand the people who use the roads pay for them rather than people with no cars, OTOH, it is regressive in that it hits those who may be shuttling from low paid job to low paid job the hardest.
I do believe there are license plate covers that prevent viewing from anything but straight on, and, those that deflect radar.
