Illinois tollways are in the process of up grading their roadways, by adding new lanes and adding new interchanges to the system. But in doing this, these changes now are switching to an I-Pass ONLY exit. Thus if you have NO, I-Pass or other transponders accepted by our state tollways or being from out of state, you have to go on line, indicate what plaza you went through, time and day,license plate number, type of vehicle, ETC. What a hassle. The older exits had an I-Pass lane and a cash lane. But i guess that to much of that CASH lane monies were somehow not making it's way to the proper place. So plan on seeing more I-Pass only exits in the future, along with the hassle of paying. Really puts a crimp in your travels.
