F53 fuel filter #

Want to replace the fuel filter in our 2008 Winnebago on an F53 chassis. I've found a few different part numbers in my folder and I'm not sure which one is right. Does any one know the correct number or, where can I find the right part number?

Thanks!
  • fIRST THING, GO GET ONE OF THOSE SPECIAL PLACTIC TOOLS TO DISCONNECT THE LINES ON THE FILLER. TAKE THE FILLER OF AND GO TO YOUR LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE AND THEY'LL KNOW TE RIGHT ONE YOU NEED.
  • Do not attempt to take the filter off without the tool (they also come in metal). There will be some built-up pressure unless the MH has sat for a while.

thats all the OP wants to know
  • Unless you go through Ford, you may not be able to get the same filter. Any 3/4 ton and larger
V-10 engine listing will fit, It may not be the same diameter as the original.
  • The Ford fuel filter used on our 2000 f53 is: Ford FG-872. Not sure if they use the same filter on the later model Ford chassis

    Good luck and safe travels
  • Motorcraft FG-872
    Napa Gold 3296
    Purolator F64711
    Tool - NAPA #3321 5/16 fuel line

The same numbers for my 2004. Probably the same for the OP's year.

    My 2003 Ford specifies FG-956B.

Where did you get that part number? The official Ford parts site says FG-872 for the 2003 F53.
