Factory Shocks

I tried to goggle and find what brand of shocks that Workhorse installs on there RV's I had no success in my search does anyone know on RV.Net? I had new Bilsteins installed last year (a night & day difference in preformance from the black ones that were removed), and there was no name brand on the horrible black colored shocks that were removed. Thanks
  • J...thanks. I'll have my Workhorse dealer here in Fresno install them. It's a pretty good shop.

    I guess you'd recommend Bilsteins???

What was the cost on the Bilsteins?
Arc, on a 04 La Palma the Bilstein Mono Tube Gas Shock is $83.95 each for the front & $92.25 each for the rear. I had mine put on at CW because I don't have a shop, jack and impact wrench! CW stocks Bilsteins.

  • Thanks Dave! Mine were Monroe's then! I have a 04 Coach on a 03 Chassis! I changed to Bilsteins and have been very happy with them! Next time around I'll try Koni's, and see if all the rave is true? My Monroe's didn't work very well it felt like to me the shocks didn't work properly, what I mean by that is too much coach for the shock!
  • The original shocks in the early 2000's were Monroe, however there was a recall, and they were replaced with Bilsteins. From 2005 and later, they installed Bilsteins from factory, however at some point I heard they switched back to a higher quality Monroe.
