You're on the right track by keeping minimal and smaller. They all depreciate terribly but those "over the top" ones the worst. Personally, I don't think you would go wrong with Winnebago(Itasca) and they make some nice ones in the 27-30 ft. range or even smaller. Go to their website for all the choices. They're still going to cost a lot but used is the only way to go.
