thanks for the tips gents......we'll be heading out in a couple weeks to give another try....
The couch is very comfortable for me to NAP in 'fold up' sitting position, as I can turn & get up in 20 minutes~2 hours. All night on the narrow part is less comfy. The wife is almost short enough to fit in the dinette portion.... 'almost' is the key word.
The couch fold-down is a BIG disappointment, no matte how fetching the design and sitting comfort. Down there is a long depression between upper & lower parts, plus our legs fit onto the dinette cushion portion...which itself is adequate comfort, but there is a hard 4" high cushion retainer on the outside of the sitting portion, that is terribly placed for sleeping.
The full queen size air mattress was an 'almost good enough' upgrade under 'emergency first camp-out at the beach' conditions. We're going to have to find a better solution.
Has anyone fitted actual bunk-bed frame in place of the sofa?
