Tell me what kind of picks you want and I can get them for you.
Hubby made a 1x3 or 2x4 frame to sit on the couch base with a cross board on that from of a 1x3 or 2x4. The flip up is plywood with a lip on the top to keep the mattress from going anywhere. He had to make sure that when he lifted up the platform/mattress that he cleared the window things and the slant in the front wall of trailer so that was designed in. The jack knife sofa was a pain to lift up and this is actually easier; he did not use hydraulics of any kind (but probably could have). I will have to ask him if it is possible to do a bunk above a bed. In your case might put a lot of weight on one side?
I like your small unit; we just needed the bed space.
