Film on camera

Just a unique bit of info. For a year and a half my rear camera seemed blurry. I scrubbed it and even had a service wash it and then a while ago i had it washed and waxed and mentioned to really clean the camera. When done they showed me the film that covered the lens. Very tight and nearly invisible but they saw a scratch and scrubbing opened it. So if you get a new one check it out. Took me a year and a half to get a clear view.

Look at your camera closely and you will probably see a plastic lens, not glass. Sort of like the polycarbonate lens on a pair of safety glasses.

  • A lot of the rear and side cameras have plastic lenses that need to be polished from time to time.
