Univmd, sorry to hear of the incident. Our storage place also has a fenced lot next to the enclosed garage section. I would never consider it because I don't want our coach in the sun when not in use.
We pay $379 a month in southern California for a gated, fenced, camera'd enclosed garaged 13x50 (about 100 garages). I have a 30 amp plug-in so I leave one air on 85 (100+ outside now) and the fridge is always on.
It might be worth it to check in your area for a more protected set-up.
It's worth it to us to have the protection and I can come and go anytime as I have an opener to the electric gate. There is a manager on duty M-F 8-4.
