I can certainly see how the Hwh would be a pain. If I lived up north, it would be a deal breaker for me as well. I haven't used the Hwh yet,I will try it this weekend.
As far as filling the fresh water tank, I haven't had any problems getting a full tank. Please excuse me if I am explaining this incorrectly, I am so new to Rv-ing, that I am learning from you guys. When I fill from the drivers side, I let it run until the water runs out from underneath the coach. That's my cue to turn off the hose because the tank is full. I also did not find filing it from under that dinette seat to be a problem either. Either side works, it's not that big of a rig to make it inconvenient to use one side or the other.
From what I am reading, and from what I have experienced in the short time I have owned this Travato, I am thinking that it is a super weekender RV. It's a great day trip vehicle. It's like a minivan on steroids. It does have a few quirky things that I hope Winnebago irons out. If I were paying the price of one of the Mercedes sprinter models, I probably could come up with a few more things that could be tweaked, but for the price, I can live with it. I can certainly see the Hwh concerns. I was thinking of it as I took another room temp shower at the beach this evening. If I lived in a colder climate, it would have been a crummy shower experience.
