Winnebago Travato Quality?

My local dealer has one that is in excellent shape. I looked at it before I bought my new van. Of course smacking my head on the doorway and the thought of 11-12 mpg lessened it's appeal. It was about $20k cheaper than what they now want for my trade-in though.

We were very happy with our old PW Excel and replaced it with a PW Pursuit on an E-350 chassis with a V-10. For reliability, you can't go wrong with a Ford van IMHO. You might be better off with a low mileage used Excel, some people fine our they can't live with a Class B and want to sell it. Not our case, we were very satisfied and still miss it in many ways. You guys talking about how "bad" the Travato is are referring to the original version 2014. The newer revised version as wincrasher states in his video has many upgrades & improvements from the very first.

I test drove one. I'm 6'.
Sit on the bench and see what your head hits. Mine hits the overhead storage and the controls on the wall.

Can you easily get in and out with the table set as high as it can go? It was difficult for me.

I liked the shower and bed but nowhere could I find a load rating for the bed. This was over a year ago when they first came out so maybe they advertise that information now.

The panel between the shower and bed rattled while driving down the road with the bed up. The shower slide door rattled regardless if it was open or closed.

I passed.

Quality is not features. It's not layout, and it's not pretty wood cabinets.

It's how it's put together and how it holds up. My Travato has been 100% problem free and has never been back to the dealer for anything.

Proof is in the pudding. I'll probably end up buying a another new Winnebago when I upgrade my van.

I got cherry cabinets,engine generator(onan was 200 dollars more) 200 watts of solar panels,tv package,side and back screen package-plus the 2000 dollars of shipping.

I paid 85,600. nowheres near 30-40 more

that zion looks interesting at a good price, about $15,000 more than the travato however. is the floor plan shown anywhere?
